Privacy policy

Overlap is a time-zone and call-planning app by BrightEng. Your planning data stays on your device unless you choose to share it.

Information in the app

Overlap stores the names, cities, time zones, preferred hours, working hours, days off, and preferences you enter locally on your device. The app does not require an account and does not send this information to BrightEng servers.

Overlap does not include advertising, third-party analytics, or tracking SDKs. It does not read your contacts or use your device’s precise location. Cities and time zones are selected by you.

Sharing and calendar events

When you use a sharing action, you choose the destination in the system share sheet. When you add a calendar event, iOS displays an event draft for you to review and save or cancel. Information you choose to share or save is then handled by the selected app or calendar provider under its own privacy policy.

Overlap does not read your existing calendar events to make recommendations.

Storage, backups, and deletion

The app’s local data remains until you remove it. You can edit or remove a person, or open Me → Data & Privacy → Erase all local data to reset the app. Device backups may contain app data according to your Apple backup settings. BrightEng does not operate a cloud account or synchronization service for Overlap.

This website

This website is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Cloudflare processes technical request information, such as IP addresses and browser details, to deliver and protect the website. See Cloudflare’s privacy policy for details. We do not add advertising trackers, analytics scripts, or marketing cookies. Fonts and other page assets are served with the site.

Support messages

If you email us, we receive your email address and the information you include. We use it to respond and investigate the issue. Please avoid sending private information about other people. You may ask us to delete your support correspondence.

Children’s privacy

Overlap does not require personal information to be sent to BrightEng and does not knowingly collect personal information from children through the app.
